I was sitting alone on one of the wooden benches in the teacher’s lounge. Of course, students were never allowed in here, but I had been desperately wanting to talk to my Chemistry teacher and the room had been empty.
Lost deep in thought, the sudden footsteps nearly made me jump a mile, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the haggard face of my teacher.
He didn’t even see me sitting there, merely walked into the room and sat down on one of the benches opposite me, burying his face in his hands. I was too scared to talk. He was white as a sheet and his body was trembling. Then he looked up all of a sudden. His eyes wide and crazed.
“I just poisoned my wife,” he said. That’s when he noticed me sitting there.
